You're expected to make daily and weekly quotas by selling "customer appreciation" items which can be difficult when customers just simply don't want it. Manager is a but uptight and will look for any reason possible to be upset about something.

Because you work alone, taking a break is not possible and you must stop eating the entire time customers are in the store. They watch you on cameras all the time to make sure you're doing your job and will call you during a shift to tell you to work if you take a break. They routinely hire outside of the company to fill roles rather than promoting good employees. It is very common to not move up to full time or assistant manager until you're there for several years unless you're lucky.

You are expected to be constantly busy even if you work an 8-hour shift where no customers come in.
